According to an interview with XXL, Black Thought spoke about the band's follow-up to 2011's masterpiece, undun, speaking upon the fact that it's almost done and should be released in Spring. The album, titled ...And Then You Shoot Your Cousin, will be another concept album in much the same fashion as their previous. The group's lead rapper spoke about the record stating that:

 It's conceptual; it's another concept album in the spirit of undun, but it's not just about just one kind of character, we create quite a few different characters in this record. It's satire, but in that satire it's an analysis of some of the stereotypes perpetuated in not only the Hip-Hop community, but in the community.

 The Roots, easily Hip-Hop's most under appreciated group, has put out stellar albums since their first record in 1993. The band currently performs as Jimmy Fallon's backing band on the Tonight Show while also working with artists like Elvis Costello in the music scene. undun was one of my favorite albums of 2011 so you can safety assume that I will be following the development of the record from here on out.
