If there weren't already enough curated mixes strewn about the Internet, Dozens Of Donuts is here to add more. Rather than analyze a burgeoning genre, herald the best of a past one, or merely formulate background music for study sessions, road trips, or midday snoozes, Curate This aims to immerse listeners in a niche aesthetic that enraptures and vitalizes. With written accompaniment to provide the expository backdrop, these songs flow - errantly or harmoniously - around particular moods, sensory emotions, and pertinent tones. With spooky season upon us, we travel to the inner-workings of the mind, body, our decrepit souls. Reality perpetuates evil far greater than any work of fiction ever could.

White walls, coated in black. Smeared blood, dried from head-height battering, dribbles down the rubbery surface, coagulating in a pool that resembles a vortex to Hell. Inane scribbles line the walls, written not in ink or even blood, but scratches, torn asunder with flecks of rotting flesh betwixt the cracks. No doors, no windows, no skylights to the sun. Just fluorescent ubiquity, shining aggressively on the transgressions of a mind beyond recognition.
A sense of direction, lost with the sense of purpose. Bouts of exterior silence upended by rattling keys, deadbolt tremors, and the sound of deafening combustion. The innate acerbity of metal on metal only aims to further enrage those surrounded by soft, fostering pads. Wrapped in straitjackets, hugged forcibly on all sides. Left with nothing but grey matter turned to mush, exacerbated by a cacophony from nowhere, fury reels.
Break time! Absent bodies walk in limbo to destinations unknown. Televisions, bolted high on the walls, broadcast black and white films through a spate of mangled static. Classical music, interspersed by staff announcements, culls the ogreish herd to an austere, barbaric common room. A tortured soul, cornered in a wheelchair, speaks in tongues. Two more mumble delusions, of grandeur or persecution, it doesn't matter which. Men, built like statues, pose as such in front of the only exits.
Routine breeds madness. Breaking the cycle is impossible for a broken man. All that's left is all that was known. Cold chills of the outside world, nightmares from an omnipotent source, black flashes of violent incisions. Splattering across frayed thought, as the blood did across a lacerated face. Strewn about the hysteria lies cognizance. Fleeting and bleak, realities pain harder to bear than a hallucinatory inferno. Such is life - or lack thereof - within Solitary Confinement.
