If there weren't already enough curated mixes strewn about the Internet, Dozens Of Donuts is here to add more. Rather than analyze a burgeoning genre, herald the best of a past one, or merely formulate background music for study sessions, road trips, or midday snoozes, Curate This aims to immerse listeners in a niche aesthetic that enraptures and vitalizes. With written accompaniment to provide the expository backdrop, these songs flow - errantly or harmoniously - around particular moods, sensory emotions, and pertinent tones. July fully welcomes summer vacation, filled with unstoppable kids hopped up on sugar.

A yawn, all too deceiving. Bleary eyes and a full bladder; the morning's comeuppance. Wild, sprightly legs leap from room to room, spilling milk from the bowl while fumbling for the remote. Saturday mornings, amplified by booming speakers broadcasting ostentatious advertisements and gross-out animation. Frenzied and delirious, irreverent apart from satisfying that sweet tooth.
Wide eyed, slip n' slides, car rides to destinations unknown. Sizzling heat, backseat treats, friends on the other end of the phone. Carefree thrills consume midday afternoons such as these; varied and disengaged. Bustling commotion clogs highways and overloads community pools, each body providing life all its own. Sonder, they call it. Individuality though, beckons us.
Down one aisle, up another goes the unruly shopping cart. Pushed erratically by a hyperactive brat, their petulant sibling sits, arms crossed, in the wiry cage. Cardboard boxes of snap, crackle, and pop line the shelves, vivifying the bright-eyed and bushy-tailed with inspirited animals doused in an array of color. Toucan Sam, Boo Berry, Cap'n Crunch, just to name a few. A new sugar rush to carry through the night.
Rambunctious parties, be it teen girl sleepovers or familial barbecues, befall a rising moon. Screams over boy crush revelations or from sporting fanatics echo off the air, trending TikTok songs or the sizzle of the grill permeate the background. Silence, an evil presence in need of banishing. A harmony of electrified spunk, discordant and convivial, give way to unity born from sugar.
