It's a monthly segment that consolidates all the mini-reviews Dozens Of Donuts has given on RateYourMusic over the past month (excluding separate, full-length reviews), split between the Past and Present. A straightforward grading scale has been put in place, ranging from A+ to F-, with C acting as the baseline average. ReplyDeleteI'm listening to the Legendary Pink Dots album now, the one you marked F+, and it's a lot better than the tedious Of Montreal album or, IIRC, the slick but empty Steely Dan album. (EDIT: I'm thinking of buying it, even.)
I own the Lightning Bolt album, and it's tremendously entertaining.
And you seem to hate a lot of these albums - without explanation.
What's the point to this? "I hate music"?
