If there weren't already enough curated mixes strewn about the Internet, Dozens Of Donuts is here to add more. Rather than analyze a burgeoning genre, herald the best of a past one, or merely formulate background music for study sessions, road trips, or midday snoozes, Curate This aims to immerse listeners in a niche aesthetic that enraptures and vitalizes. With written accompaniment to provide the expository backdrop, these songs flow - errantly or harmoniously - around particular moods, sensory emotions, and pertinent tones. March transports us to a room unbound, as fears and illusions dominate the senses. Egdol Kcalb Eht Ot Emoclew.

The whir of a ceiling fan, roused by static electricity. On the bed, a diary, a cigarette, an embossed silhouette of a human evaporated into thin air. Typical teenage rebellion, one would assume from the cracked window sill. Rumors of forced entry by a denim-clad drifter ruminate the crime scene, if only derisively on account of the child-bearers phrenetic hallucinations. The dour decor and doleful spirits allude to an innocence taken, even of one that was never really there. Inadequate clues, apart from a hung picture tilted on its axis depicting an empty hallway, eager for entry. Normally nothing more than a glance, the flicker of something more heinous permeates its execrable aura. For this is no ordinary picture. It's an invitation to the shadows.
Patchouli and rosewood waft by red curtains, whose imposing stature replace barricaded walls with sheer pellucidity, as if eyes peering from beyond the veil can materialize from any angle. Zigzag patterns pass under feet, complicating not just the ability to walk, but to dance. Something a miniature man, volte-faced and charming, does with oblivious glee. Though the room echoes silence, one can't help but muster dimly-lit Jazz from the void. Its morose narcosis skims fingers across undulating drapery, aroused by the protracted inertia of time and space.
With the room's lascivious taunting, and her tempting gaze - behind eyes erased - evil of unknown origin holds dominion over this impish court. To ask how or why would be a fool's errand. Unpredictable only to those without an understanding of humanity's creation, stoic serenity gives way to impervious atrocities. Ghastly screams bellowing from purity possessed coincide with the shaking of perdition, as fissures split into bottomless pits, the sudden clemency of movement a useless foible to escaping certainty.
Beyond this place, this mental prison, lies particles chaotic and consuming. Comprehension, at this point, something once taken for granted. Atoms collapse, time skips, aberrant fixtures setting constellations into formation eviscerated by radiated hands and soot-smothered faces. Nothing makes sense, for nothing needs to. Eternal noise from smoldering maelstrom billows and heaves without rhyme or reason. Sanity, a construct to bear the weight of Earth's insignificance. The visage of an angel, wrapped in plastic, contours itself around spewing grey entities with pecked horns like television antennas, acting as conduits to anatomical remains. How quickly we fall apart. Has it really been 25 years? In the Egdol Kcalb, time is of no consequence.
