Atoms fracture, splinter, and shatter to part the seas as you enter a dimension bound by stupefied illusion. Above, mirrorless apery sinking along concrete steps singular in their stoic indifference. Below, labyrinthine trails seesawing into oblivion between breathless streaks of light, illuminated by a mouth of unfathomable depth and desire. A void bearing the likeness of a supernova, spewing iridescence like bait on a fishing line.
It taunts knowingly. Inevitable in outcome, ones demise becomes. The mind reels, flashes of panic strewn about memories of regret and failure. Images in the empyrean warp flashbacks into revolting depictions of destruction. All the while, loops from one portal to the next cascade downward, as the weight of this parable assume the roll of boulder. You, Sisyphus. Going down, the burden that much more impossible to stop. This isn't limbo, this is the illusion of choice.
Interlaced rainbows crest under spouting waterfalls, shapes of enigmatic stature contort light as prisms of folly. Dancing hues patter off every surface, pebbles as heavy as bedrock ricochet off these immovable stairs. Yet we step. Down, up, side to side. Entranced by behaviors unseen, unheard, untouched. Angelic harmonies beacon from below, siren calls to lure desperate seekers. It's all a facade, yet one imbrued with voracity.
The unknown below is all too alluring, even in a box so undefined as this. It reveals that satiation in humanity, one may never achieve. Curiosity pulls. It tugs, nags, mocks, peels away until there's nothing left. Nothing to hold onto, no handrail to grasp no step to press. Sheer nothingness, a void consuming all that was and all that will be. Vociferous vomit in one ear, elysian stimulation out the other. Touch both agonizing and amiable. Sight to confounding to discern. This is eternal damnation. The struggle to achieve extinction.
